Who are you beyond GreenShift?

UFL is a flagship initiative, with the strategic support of Lisbon City Hall, that accelerates startups and scaleups into global unicorns, while cultivating youth entrepreneurship and curating 4 collaborative innovation districts, in order to position Lisbon as Europe’s leading tech hub.

We support over 250startups and scaleups annually through our Incubation and Scaling Up programs, and we host over 200companies at 6 specialized hubs across key verticals: AI, gaming, green tech, health, engineering and Web3.

We provide innovation services to Portugal’s leading companies as well as multinationals. We support international talent to come to Europe and enable our European startups to scale globally.

As one of Europe’s top 25 startup hubs, we support the next generation of innovators to start, scale and become global, promoting the european inovation ecosystem.

Our dedicated hubs (AI, Engineering, Green, Health, web3, gaming) convene sectoral leaders and key ecosystem players in Portugal, enabling collaboration between government, corporates, startups and academia. We are partners with the country’s leading universities, enhancing a wide range of faculties’ offers with dedicated training in innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as with access to our portfolio of 300+ startups. We are also partners with the country’s largest companies, collaborating with them to position Lisbon and Portugal as a leading innovation center at global level. Lastly, we foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students through our Future Innovators and Innovation Summer School programmes, reaching thousands of young people annually — broadening the talent base for green digital careers and contributing to GreenShift’s inclusivity and diversity goals.
